There is only one system suited to all customers, but there
are specific solutions suited to each customer. Herman Miller offers
four distinct categories of systems products, which we call infrastructures.
Each infrastructure type has its own advantages inherent in its architecture.
Based on a customer's need set, we can provide the most appropriate
solutions.
Pole
Based
This system relies on the pole as its foundation. The pole, along with support
arms and trusses, serves as the infrastructure, delivering power and data to
workstations and defining space. It creates open, expressive environments that
can be used for individual, team, or collaborative work.
Frame-and-Tile Based
This system uses an open frame as its structural foundation then is covered
with removable tiles that provide aesthetic and functional variety.
The frame's large cavity offers unmatched capacity for wires, cables,
and technology support. The architecturally scaled frames create
environments that range from highly private to highly collaborative.
Panel
Based
Our panel-based systems include monolithic and stacking panels that can be
installed and reconfigured easily and also support freestanding and panel-attached
components. These systems create traditional, open-plan environments. Largest
and most established market segment.
Desk
Based
This system uses the desk module as the basic building block upon which both
the structure and delivery of power and data are based. It creates effective
small cluster and private office environments. |
